Love the New School of Marketing Podcast?
Let’s be honest and upfront, because you know that’s what I’m all about. Podcast reviews are super important to ...
Welcome to episode 124 of the New School of Marketing podcast. When I started this podcast I didn’t really know how long I would be doing it for. I started this podcast in the middle of the pandemic, in lockdown with everyone at home. It was really one of the hardest times to start a podcast, but here we are. I love recording these episodes for you, helping you navigate the world of online marketing and I hope they help you in your business.
In case you don’t know what I do, let me fill you in. My background is in marketing, which I have been working in since I graduated from university in 2006. I’ve had multiple side hustles over the years and in 2014 I started my current business. In 2017 I resigned from my job and made my business my full-time gig.
At the start I focused a lot on helping businesses with email marketing, social media and mostly general marketing. That’s until I found Facebook ads and started playing around with them. At the time there weren’t many people managing Facebook ads, at least not in the business circles I spent time in. So after some success for my own business and helping out some business friends, more and more people started asking me and so I accidentally became known as the Facebook ads expert.
As with anything digital marketing, a lot has changed in the last few years. From the highs of Facebook ads to the lows when iOS changed everything, I’ve basically seen it all.
Things work, algorithms get changed, things stop working, you figure it out and get on the road again. It’s definitely a story of ups and downs.
In 2020 I started a certification program with my mentor Jody Milward and it’s then that I learned about her Client Attraction Code strategy. I’ll tell you a little bit more about it in a minute, but this strategy has changed everything for me and my clients.
Basically what it has changed is the way my clients are positioning themselves and how they’re using Facebook ads to leverage their organic social media content to really build authority and connection with their audience.
The strategy focuses on setting up your ads in a way that leverages specific social media content to position yourself as the expert, as well as building connections and becoming a trusted go-to person. In a way this strategy is going back to the grassroots of marketing and the importance of visibility to increase sales, but with a budget that works for most businesses. The ads are layered in a way so that people are taken on a journey and don’t come across the same content each time but instead it builds on each other.
I love this method so much that I use it for every client now because it gives us better results on their launches and/or evergreen sales funnels. I’m seeing higher conversions and lower costs per leads on these accounts because they’ve been warmed up with a specific strategy and flow.
I really recommend setting up these ads for anyone who wants to position themself as the expert in their industry and start being more visible, especially if you at some point want to sell courses or memberships. When you add courses or memberships into the mix it becomes a numbers game, the more people get to know you and what you do, the more people on your email marketing list, the more sales you’ll be able to make.
Sure, I’m making it sound quite cold and impersonal now, but in a nutshell you need more people to find out about you to be able to make more sales.
This strategy actually helps you build a stronger connection with your audience so they become more likely to purchase from you.
If you’re curious about this strategy I highly recommend the Client Attraction Code. I’m a reseller for the program and the best thing about it is that it’s only $37.
So start making your organic content go further by putting some advertising dollars behind it. Start positioning yourself as the expert in your field and become more visible to the people that really need what you have to offer.
